I for one can say from the moment we met you made a big impact on me! ;-) I will echo johns thoughts and say that as much as grant, matt, gaz and myself have done over the years, the hardest part of all is being the manager and dealing with as many different people of varying thoughts on how things "should be done", it has sometimes been a right pain with people crying on the phone wanting to know if why what when! You have managed through pretty much all of the clubs success and I will always look back with a smile! thanks for everything mate and all the best for your future, hope you find a team up in Scotland to take on and nurture!

I think all the players both past and present appreciate the job you have done as manager. You can always tell a good manager by the respect they receive from all the players. You have shown incredible commitment to the team turning up on Thursdays even when up unable to train, chasing players on a Sunday, sending texts about training and matches. The team talks are full on encouragement and always positive despite losing a fair percentage of games in recent years. So I am sure we all wish you look in the future and I am sure it wont be goodbye for good! Hope you are rewarded with Rangers win tomorrow!!

As many of you know, the 3rd October will be my last game as Manager, with that in mind there's just a few people I feel deserve a mention and my thanks. My job has been made easy by the "fantastic" way this club is run. For many years now this has been down to Grant (collecting money, attending league meetings, getting everyone signed on etc) and Mark Littleford (organising refs and fixtures, week in week out) before standing down at the end of last season, they don't always get the credit they deserve. Matt has also worked tirelessly in many training sessions trying to get people to pass the ball, count to 3 (when playing 3 touch) and just working on the basics, all I can say is keep listening, he know what he's talking about!!! Gary Miller, the summers will not be the same again without watching you take the pre-season running while wearing a weight belt. EL CAPITANO, what can I say, the captain since I have been manager and no one more deserved of the arm band. There are many others that are too many to mention, Chris, Jon W, Joe, George, Rew, Martin, Gareth, Ben Cleeve, Jon Littleford, Gavin Ward............oh and Steve Rowan. As both player and manager over the last 17 seasons, it's been a real pleasure and a major part of my life, I've made many friend's which I hope will make the trip across the border for a weekend trip (no Darren Miller you don't need a passport or Scottish money). It's not easy picking a Sunday League team as everyone will always have their own opinion, could have done it better or would have done if differently. If this is to be the last season (who knows), let's try and go out with a flurrish and have a decent season playing some good football.

There were still many positives to be taken from todays game, yes we were diving in at times and giving the ball away, but we have come along way from the type of football we having been playing over the last two seasons. Not th easiest game to referee, but then again they never are !!!
